Markets crash after RBI policy, Sensex breaks 9K

The benchmark index markets tumbled below the 9,000 levels in the noon trade at its intraday low of 8,940 after the RBI kept its rates unchanged in the credit policy. The Sensex broke the 9000 level for the first time since June 14, 2006. The continued slide in Asian stocks caused by global recession fears also added to worries.
