Rising steel prices are in for a harder halt with inflation crossing the government’s expectations, the steel sector is likely to see some restrictions in an indirect way as some of cost will be brought down by slashing duties and also a package to deal with rising iron ore prices. The Commerce Secretary G K Pillai will be meeting miners on April 1 and may even consider curbing exports to ensure higher supply.
