Haryana spinners took five of the six wickets that fell in the day although England scored at a brisk pace, adding 113 runs in 28.2 overs after resuming at 408 for three.
Rahul Dewan and Sunny Singh (55) then put on 97-runs for the second wicket in a strong reply to England's mammoth total but Haryana were still trailing by a huge 349-run margin at the end of Day 2.

Monty Panesar, seen here with captain Cook, took a solitary wicket in Haryana innings but bowled extremely economically going for 32 runs in 18 overs. Tim Bresnan was the pick of bowlers taking 2/47 in 13 overs.

Nearing day's end, the play was temporarily suspended due to a langur invasion. The animal ran across to his female companion, unaware of the delay it was causing and security staff could not really stop the 'streaker'.

It might have been reported that Duncan Fletcher has been a 'dormant' personality till now, at least in the Indian dressing-room but along with captain cool he definitely will be 'concocting' plans to give England back a taste of their own medicine.
