On the right edge you'll find a single 3.5mm headset jack, a USB3.0 port, an HDMI output and the proprietary dongle port (which looks like a mini-DisplayPort but isn't).
The keyboard is missing a dedicated row of function butons. The numeric row doubles up as F1-F12, while the top row of letters have additional functions for controlling brightness, sleep, keyboard backlighting and Wi-Fi.
Some of the keys on the keyboard had to be rearranged thanks to the lack of a function key row. The tilde character is next to the Caps Lock key, and Fn keys have merged with the number row.
The Acer Aspire S7 is thin and light, but makes space for additional Ethernet and VGA ports using a dongle. The hinge lets the screen fold back 180 degrees.
The dongle is small, but you have to remember to carry it everywhere you go. It's better than a lot of other Ultrabooks which don't have these ports at all.
