Ghanaian football player Mohammed Anas made a hilarious blunder in his man of the match speech on Friday. After playing a stellar game for his Free State Stars team in their 2-2 draw with Ajax Cape Town, he won man of the match - and then thanked both his wife and his girlfriend. In his post-match speech, the 22-year-old begins innocuously enough by appreciating his fans. Things very quickly take a turn for the worse, however, when he adds, "And my wife and my girlfriend."
Realizing immediately that he had scored an 'own goal', the footballer tries to defuse the situation by hurriedly saying, "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, my wife. I love you so much."

Mr Anas put an end to the interview by quickly saying, "Thanks for supporting me there is more to come." His awkward video, however, has gone viral, with one version receiving over 6,000 retweets.
