We've all been inspired by stories of people rising from humble backgrounds, and making it big in the world. But this story of a Mumbai man who had it all, then lost it all and still strives to make it in this world is equally inspiring.

On June 17, the Humans of Bombay Facebook page shared the heartening story of a man who was once a child actor. "I used to be a rich man. I lived in a massive house and partied only with the rich and famous. There was a time when I could eat 10 meals in a day if I chose to and today I cannot even afford one," he says.

The man, who is not named, describes how the death of his parents led to him and his siblings living on the streets, and what he did to make ends meet. "I used to work as a child actor and have worked with several famous people in the past but when you don't have money in your pockets people seem to overlook your talent and sometimes forget your face too," he says.

However, even after all this, unlike most who resign themselves to their fate, this Mumbai man hasn't given up hope. He has big plans for his future and isn't afraid to dream of a better tomorrow.

And that's not all. What he says at the end of this post is so heartwarming, it may bring a tear to your eyes.

If you need a lesson in hope and generosity, this man's story is the perfect example.
