Islamabad:
Television actress Mumtaz Kanwal and her husband fled their home in Pakistan's Hyderabad city after she received death threats.
Kanwal, who is also a radio artist, has acted in serials like "Zeenat Binte Sakina Hazir Ho", a love story shot in the backdrop of Pakistan's feudal system.
She said a group of influential people had registered a false police case against her husband Raheel, the Dawn reported Friday.
Some people also barged into her house last month and opened fire besides damaging household goods.
The actress then approached a Pakistani human rights group for help.
