Boston Marathon Survivor Attends Hearing For Suspect's Friend

Robel Phillipos, a college friend of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, leaves federal court after a hearing on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, in Boston

Boston: A Boston Marathon attack survivor is attending a hearing for a college friend of the alleged bomber.

Marc Fucarile walked into federal court on Wednesday on his prosthetic leg wearing a "Boston Strong" shirt.

Fucarile lost his right leg and suffered a severe burn on his left leg in the April 15, 2013, blast that killed three. He was the last of the more than 260 injured to leave the hospital.

Dias Kadyrbayev is expected to testify as his attorneys try to suppress evidence from his trial this summer.

He is charged with tampering with evidence for removing Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's laptop and a backpack containing fireworks from his dorm room at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth shortly after the attack. He has been held without bail.
