Yamuna Expressway Bus Fire | 9 Killed After AC Blast Triggers Fire On Sleeper Bus On Noida Highway

At least 9 people, including a woman, were burnt to death, and many were injured, after a sleeper tourist bus caught fire on the Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida on late Wednesday night. There were 35 passengers were reportedly travelling on the bus when it suddenly caught fire. According to the police officials, the preliminary investigation revealed that the fire originated from a blast in the bus's air conditioning system, which ignited the engine's lubricating oil and caused the fire to spread rapidly. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined. However, preliminary reports indicate that a short circuit may have triggered the blaze.
