Election Commission Of India Says 2.73 Crore Young Voters Aged 18-28 Added To Electoral Rolls
The Election Commission says 2.73 crore Gen Z voters aged 18–28 have been added to electoral rolls since the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) began in 2025. The figure includes first-time voters as well as young electors whose details were subsequently added or updated. The ECI has rejected claims that youth enrolment was put on hold, citing the continuous updation process that allows eligible citizens to apply throughout the year.
