World Top News: IMF Raises India Growth, Dubai Waterlogged, US Sanctions On Iran

The International Monetary Fund has raised India's growth projection to 6.8 per cent from its January forecast of 6.5 per cent while global growth, estimated at 3.2 per cent in 2023, is projected to continue at the same pace in 2024 and 2025. Former President of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Asia Pacific - part of India's largest business conglomerate, Girija Pande, speaks to NDTV regarding the IMF's latest report, India and China's growth projection and discusses the ramifications of the IMF indicating that there will be more scarring for low-income developing countries. Meanwhile, the US says it will impose sanctions aimed at Iran's missile and drone programme as well as the Revolutionary Guard and defence ministry. Several parts of Dubai, including the DXB airport, are flooded as heavy rain leaves many stranded in Rolls Royces.
