India has a tribal population of roughly 11 crore, that is just under 9 per cent of the total population. India's tribal people are also amongst the country's poorest, with very little access to quality healthcare, and therefore positive health outcomes. But there are doctors in India who have dedicated their lives for the better health and upliftment of tribal and rural communities. On World Health Day 2022, we bring you a Banega Swasth India special as we salute these doctors whose service to these communities is nothing short of pioneering.
