Women's World Cup 2025: India Beat Pakistan By Mammoth 88-Run Margin, Make It 12-0 In Head-To-Head

India clinched victory over Pakistan by a huge margin of 88 runs in their Women's World Cup 2025 clash in Colombo. Having set a target of 248, India bowled Pakistan out for just 159. Kranti Gaud was the pick of the Indian bowlers, scalping three wickets. With the bat, Harleen Deol's 46 and Richa Ghosh's 20-ball 35 powered India to a respectable total. Controversy erupted during the match as Pakistan opener Muneeba Ali was run out in a bizarre manner. The match also had to be halted twice during the India innings, due to a sudden increase in the number of bugs at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. India captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Pakistan skipper Fatima Sana did not shake hands at the toss, continuing the trend between the two teams. The victory gives India a 12-0 head-to-head lead against Pakistan in Women's ODIs.
