West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee Argues Her Case Against Election Commission
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee appeared in the Supreme Court to challenge the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists in the state. She argued that lakhs of legitimate voters risk being excluded due to surname errors, spelling mistakes, and other discrepancies. The CM urged the top court to ensure all eligible voters are included ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.
