Waris Pathan Questions 'Virtual Bakri Eid', Says "Declare Cow National Animal"
Bakri Eid 2026 Date | AIMIM leader Waris Pathan reacted strongly to the ongoing debate around Bakri Eid and cow slaughter, questioning calls for “virtual” celebrations and alleging selective targeting of Muslims. Speaking to NDTV, Waris Pathan said Muslims “always follow the law” during Bakri Eid celebrations and questioned why similar suggestions are not made for other religious festivals. He also asked whether the government would consider banning beef cutting in Goa and raised questions over ownership of slaughterhouses and India’s beef export industry.
