"Aadhar has been the biggest anti-corruption tool," says former Chairman of UIDAI Mr Nandan Nilekani. Mr Nilekani says that he was so passionate about Aadhar that he didn't want 5 years of his effort to be wasted. So he requested an appointment with the PM, who he had known since his Gujarat days. "He gave me an appointment very quickly, he met me for half an hour, he listened very carefully.. he knew Aadhar because he'd done it in Gujarat... he is the most technology-savvy PM we have today," says Mr Nilekani. Mr Nilekani is currently enjoying work with start-ups in Bengaluru and waiting to crack another challenge.
