BJP national President Amit Shah campaigned for the BJP and its ally Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) in Assam today. Mr Shah attended election rallies in Kaliabor and Jorhat constituencies. AGP's Mani Madhab Mahanta is contesting as the BJP-led alliance candidate in Kaliabor, which is currently held by Congress's Gaurav Gogoi. Koliabor goes to poll in first phase with four other seats in Assam. Only last month, the constituency saw the death of 160 tea garden workers in an illicit liquor tragedy in Golghat.
