The latest blockbuster hero from South to jump into politics has intensified his hunt for allies after a massive mandate in the recent elections in Tamil Nadu. Vijay's party, the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam is learnt to have written to the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) for its support to form government in the state. The VCK, led by Thol Thirumavalan, won two seats in the elections. The Congress, which has five seats, has also decided to support Vijay if he forms the government, a lead has confirmed. TVK insiders earlier told NDTV that the party is also banking on support from the CPI and CPM that has two seats each.
