Venezuela Attack | White House Denies Sidelining Tulsi Gabbard, JD Vance In Venezuela Operation

The White House has denied reports that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and US Vice President JD Vance were sidelined from planning a covert operation against Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro. US media reports by Bloomberg and The Wall Street Journal claimed that Gabbard was excluded from months of planning for Operation Absolute Resolve, allegedly due to scepticism within the administration over her past opposition to military intervention in Venezuela. The reports also pointed to her absence from official White House photographs released during the operation. Rejecting the claims, JD Vance said both he and Gabbard were fully briefed and involved, calling the reports “completely false”. He said the secrecy of the operation reflected strong coordination within President Donald Trump’s team. Photographs released after the operation showed Trump alongside senior aides including Marco Rubio, Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, and Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, fueling speculation over internal differences. Tulsi Gabbard has yet to issue an official response.
