Ravi Shankar Prasad On Gen Z Protests, Pakistan & India-Nepal Ties
BJP leader and former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad speaks to NDTV about the Gen Z movements emerging across Nepal, Bangladesh, India and Pakistan. He says young people will naturally react when they believe something is wrong, but the real test of a stable democracy is whether institutions can address their concerns. Prasad also draws a distinction between the movements in Nepal and India and those in Pakistan, criticises the use of terrorism as an instrument of foreign policy, and stresses the enduring cultural ties between India and Nepal. He also argues that climate and environmental cooperation in the Himalayas should become a major area of India-Nepal partnership.
