Valley ignores calls for prayers for Osama

The government in Jammu and Kashmir has ended the house arrest of Separatist Syed Ali Shah Geelani who has asked people to hold funeral prayers today in Srinagar for Osama bin Laden. Mr Geelani, who heads the Hurriyat Conference, had declared Osama "a martyr" and said that "he represented a thinking which opposed foreign occupational forces".
