'Vacancies Still Left': DK Shivakumar On No Women In Karnataka Cabinet
Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has responded to criticism over the absence of women in his initial cabinet, saying several vacancies are still to be filled. He indicated that women could be inducted at a later stage, adding that a similar situation existed earlier as well. Shivakumar also said his government has "empowered women like no other."
