US Sees Progress As Iran Talks Continue In Switzerland

The latest round of US-Iran talks in Switzerland has been described by both sides as a significant diplomatic opening. The opening session lasted around 80 minutes and focused on implementing the recent interim understanding and maintaining regional de-escalation. Nuclear issues were reportedly not discussed during the initial round, though dialogue remains ongoing. US Vice President JD Vance expressed optimism about transforming relations with Iran if Tehran abandons regional destabilisation and nuclear weapons ambitions. Vance also credited Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir for playing a key diplomatic role in helping bring the negotiations to this stage.
