US Iran War | Prime Minister's Office To Review Economic Impact Of West Asia Conflict

The Prime Minister’s Office is set to hold a high-level review meeting on the economic and strategic impact of the ongoing West Asia conflict, with seven empowered groups of secretaries expected to brief officials on the evolving situation. Senior bureaucrats overseeing key sectors including energy, economy, fertilisers, logistics, shipping and external affairs will present assessments on supply disruptions, commodity price volatility, shipping bottlenecks and inflationary risks linked to the regional crisis. The empowered groups were constituted earlier on the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to coordinate the government’s response and prepare contingency plans amid escalating tensions in West Asia. Officials are also expected to discuss short- and medium-term measures to secure critical supplies, stabilise logistics networks and minimise the broader economic fallout for India.
