US Federal Judge Blocks President Donald Trump's Big Birthright Citizenship Order
On Washington Watch this week, a Federal Judge in New Hampshire has blocked Donald Trump’s effort to end birthright citizenship. Babies born in the US automatically are entitled to citizenship something President Trump wants to stop. Groups that would be affected are undocumented immigrants and many Indians legally here in the US who are working or studying. The legal drama around it remains complicated. Just last month the Supreme Court in a case related to birthright citizenship backed Trump in his request to curb nationwide injunctions from lower courts.
