Scientists from the Udaipur Solar Observatory are working on setting up Asia's largest telescope near Pangong Lake in Ladakh as part of the Indian Space Research Organisation's Aditya L1 Mission, which aims to study the Sun. The Udaipur Solar Observatory is known for high quality observational solar research, using a 50-cm telescope.
