Trinamool Alleges Trains Cancelled As It Plans Big Delhi Protest

Many Trinamool Congress supporters, arrived in Delhi to attend a two-day protest in the national capital on October 2 and 3. The party is protesting the alleged denial of funds for welfare schemes in West Bengal, by the Union government. TMC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, who is expected to lead the protest, has asked the party MPs, state ministers, legislators and other senior leaders to remain present in Delhi on October 2. Yesterday some trains were cancelled, forcing TMC to change travel plans. This led to another war of words between the two parties.
