The World Health Organization on Wednesday granted Covaxin an emergency use listing, or EUL, making it the first India-made Covid vaccine to get WHO approval. However, the WHO has said Covaxin data on the vaccination of pregnant women is insufficient to assess its safety or efficacy in pregnancy; PM Modi held a review meeting today with districts that have a low vaccination coverage. He said people can't be lax just because India has hit the one billion-mark; Covid norms go up in smoke ahead of Diwali as massive crowds throng markets across India and other top stories.
