TN Govt agrees to raise electricity price by 40-42%: REC

HD Khunteta, Director-Finance of Rural Electrification Corporation says there is a need to hike tariff of Tamil Nadu state electricity by 40-42 per cent to fill the gap between production cost and selling price. He further says that TN government has accepted the decision to hike prices; however the actual order is still awaited.
