37 year-old Shaheena from Kamali village in Uttar Pradesh, delivered six babies in the span of 12 years. But given that Shaheena was herself weak and anaemic, her lack of nutrition not just complicated her pregnancy but also proved to be fatal for one of her children, while the rest were all born malnourished. As part of the NDTV Dettol Banega Swasth India campaign, we are celebrating National Nutrition Week to make people understand that significance of nutrition and the role it plays in ensuring better health for not just pregnant women but also the next generation.
