Team Thackeray Set For Poll Battle With New Symbol And Name

The stage is set for the first electoral battle between the two factions of the Shiv Sena after the split earlier this year. Rutuja Latke, team Uddhav Thackeray's candidate for the upcoming Andheri East Assembly bypoll, will file her nomination today. This is the first bypoll 'Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray' will be contesting on its new symbol, the 'Mashaal' (flaming torch). Several party leaders and workers gathered at the Shiv Sena office  holding the new party flags to support Ms Latke.
