Tamil Nadu CM Vijay Chairs Review Meeting On State's Financial Status
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay on Thursday chaired a review meeting with finance department officials to ascertain the exact financial situation of the state. Vijay, after taking over as the chief minister, had said that he would soon release a "white paper" on the state’s fiscal health. The state has been burdened with a debt exceeding Rs 10 lakh crore, and the treasury has been completely emptied, leaving an unbearable burden, he had said.
