Harish Ra Case: India is set to perform its first passive euthanasia, allowing a patient to voluntarily end life under strict medical and legal supervision. Life support and medications will be gradually withdrawn, pain carefully managed, and the process carried out in a palliative care unit with family informed. This comes after Supreme Court allowed the country’s first case of passive euthanasia for 32-year-old Harish Rana who has been in a vegetative state for more than 12 years.
