Sudan Faces Worsening Hunger Crisis as 40% Population Struggles with Acute Food Insecurity

A new report from the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) warns that over 40% of Sudan’s population is facing severe acute food insecurity as the ongoing war enters its fourth year. Nearly 19.5 million people are affected, including 135,000 in catastrophic conditions marked by starvation and extreme malnutrition.
