Speaking to NDTV during its special coverage of Vladimir Putin’s India visit, Lt Gen KJS Dhillon (Retd) said China will inevitably feature in strategic discussions between India and Russia. He argued that if meaningful India–Russia–China bonhomie or future collaboration is ever to take shape, this is the moment, with all three nations led by strong, decisive leaders. However, he cautioned that China never rushes to mend ties and resolves disputes only when it suits its long-term strategic interests.
