Sri Lankans are faced with unprecedented crisis. People are fighting for their basic needs. There is no polarisation and people from all walks of life, whether rich or poor, students or working professionals, are protesting. The economic hardships have brought the heads representing different religious communities together out on the streets just for one cause - demanding the resignation of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. A day after the announcement of forming a new cabinet and appointment of a Prime Minister, protests haven't weakened. NDTV's Sreeja MS speaks to a monk, who says the Rajapaksa clan has looted the country's money and stifled the voices of people who voted Gotabaya Rajapaksa to power.
