A Tokyo University team has developed a robot designed to simulate the development and behaviour of a nine-month-old baby in an effort to better understand how humans grow.
A giant baby, blinking and toothless, is grabbing all the attention at this year's world expo of wierd and wonderful things in Shanghai. At just over 21-feet tall, this enormous animatronic baby is quite the star.
Researchers hope this baby bot is the forefather of intelligent robots that can live with humans. The tiny androids are also being tested to help scientists understand more about the early stages of child development.
