Smit Machchhar Was Fighting With A Fractured Skull. Yet He Kept Going
NDTV has learnt that Captain Smit Machchhar suffered a depressed skull fracture during the cockpit assault, with part of his skull driven inward toward the brain. Despite catastrophic injuries and heavy blood loss, he remained conscious enough to unlock the cockpit door and help save lives.
