A debate that has raged on in this country is now back, this time around, over the incidents of lynching in the name of Lord Ram. 49 members of the civil society, including some prominent film makers and historians, have written an open letter to the Prime Minister highlighting that the cases of targeted violence against the minorities is on the rise. Though the government is yet to officially respond to the letter, a predictable debate of the "award wapsi" gang's return is now on.
