Today, students and teachers of some Delhi colleges protested outside the Police Headquarters in Delhi, they say there have been several instances of semen-filled balloons being thrown at women in the run up to this Holi. Raising slogans, they are demanding enhanced security for women students and say Holi can't be an excuse to molest women. Semen-filled water balloons are clearly a sickening new low but we're asking does Holi allow men the license to shed propriety? From a festival of colour and music, a day that marks the arrival of spring - is Holi turning into a festival of fear for women? How do we reclaim the spirit of Holi?
