Russia Accuses Ukraine Of Violating Its Own Ceasefire

In today's episode of India Global, Chinese President Xi Jinping was welcomed by his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, at the Kremlin on Thursday as part of a four-day state visit. The visit coincides with Russia's Victory Day celebrations, scheduled for May 9, marking the 80th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II. During the meeting, Putin attributed Moscow and Beijing's strategic cooperation to the "combat brotherhood" forged between the two nations during World War II. Throughout Xi's visit, the leaders are expected to discuss various issues, including the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, energy cooperation, and the proposed Power of Siberia 2 gas pipeline project. The pipeline would transport natural gas from western Russia to northern China, further strengthening energy ties between the two countries. NDTV's Gaurie Dwivedi speaks with Senior Russian Journalist Fred Weir and Senior Fellow of the Taihe Institute Einar Tangen to discuss this and more.
