Today, WhatsApp has launched a second campaign to educate people about fake news and misinformation. WhatsApp has claimed that its first edition had reached millions of Indians in both urban and rural areas. The messaging app has also said that they will be proactively working with the Election Commission for a safe election. But the basic question remains why is WhatsApp resorting to education about fake news and misinformation on its own platform?
