TCS Q4 profit up 1.6%; Operating margin disappoints

N Chandrasekharan, CEO and MD of Tata Consultancy Services, India's largest software services exporter, announces a 1.6% rise in the net profit at Rs 2932.4 crore for the quarter ended March 2012. The company was expected to report a decline of 2 per cent to Rs 2,827.50 crore against Rs 2,886.60 crore in the December 2011 quarter.
