Sabarimala Gold Theft: SIT Files First Report, Kerala HC Expands Probe
The Special Investigating Team (SIT) probing the Sabarimala missing gold case has submitted its first report to the Kerala High Court. The case concerns 4.5 kg of gold missing from the temple’s gold-plated doors, gifted by industrialist Vijay Mallya in 1999 and taken for repairs in 2019. The High Court has ordered the SIT to broaden its investigation beyond the door repairers, calling for a probe into a larger conspiracy.
