The safety of 8,000 Indian nationals, most of them students, is of urgent concern as the Ukraine-Russia war enters day 10. Eastern Ukraine, where the most intense fighting is happening, is also where many Indian students are pursuing medical degrees. For those returning, a big worry is about the future. This is also the time to ask questions about the mismatch between the demand-supply situation that sent these students away in the first place.
