Republic Day 2026 | Bhairav Commandos, Phased Battle Array To Debut At The Parade
India's 77th Republic Day parade will highlight modern military capabilities with several firsts, including the debut of the Bhairav Light Commando Battalion and the introduction of a phased battle array formation showcasing indigenous platforms. The Bhairav Battalion, trained for extreme conditions, will be joined by special contingents from RAJRIF and SIKH LI, symbolizing a shift toward agile, high-impact warfare. The Mixed Scouts Contingent, with 144 wards, three JCOs, and one officer from regions including Arunachal, Sikkim, and Ladakh, will don special uniforms for sub-zero temperatures, demonstrating versatility across India's diverse terrains.
