The defending champions rode on a brutal assault from Patidar, who turned the game on its head with a sensational 33-ball 93, smashing nine sixes and five fours to power RCB to a daunting 254 after being invited to bat first. Patidar survived two dropped chances during his explosive knock as RCB plundered 86 runs in the last five overs of the innings to seize complete control of the contest. In pursuit of the daunting 255-run target, GT failed to build momentum early and lost five wickets inside the powerplay. Rahul Tewatia, however, provided some late resistance with a fighting 68 off 43 balls. Jacob Duffy was the pick of the bowlers for RCB with three wickets, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rasikh Salam and Krunal Pandya chipped in with two wickets apiece. GT will now face the winner of the Eliminator in Mullanpur on Friday.
