Punjab-Haryana Water Wars: Politics Before Polls?

In a setback to Punjab, the Supreme Court today directed maintenance of status quo on land meant for Sutlej-Yamuna Link (SYL) canal after Haryana alleged that attempts have been made to alter its use by levelling it. And for siding with Punjab in a vicious water war, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal got told off by Haryana today, which warned him to get "your own canal constructed" or risk losing water supply to the capital.
