Punjab Congress Rift Will Be Resolved in 10 Days: Partap Singh Bajwa

Punjab Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa has expressed confidence that the ongoing unrest within the Punjab Congress will be resolved within the next 10 days. Referring to the recent leadership changes, Bajwa said internal differences were natural but stressed that the party must remain united. Recalling his own decision to step aside as Punjab Congress president in 2015 to make way for Captain Amarinder Singh, Bajwa urged fellow leaders to put the party above personal ambitions. "If they are true Congressmen, they must sacrifice for the party as I did," he said, adding that "no position is permanent." In this exclusive interaction with NDTV's Mohammed Ghazali, Bajwa also spoke about the importance of party unity and his expectations from Congress leaders in Punjab.
