Kolkata Knight Riders kept their IPL playoff hopes alive with a commanding 29-run win over Gujarat Titans in a high-scoring thriller on Saturday. Batting first, KKR piled up a massive 247 for 2, thanks to a sensational knock from Finn Allen. The New Zealand batter smashed 93 off just 35 balls, hammering 10 sixes and four boundaries in a breathtaking display of power-hitting. Allen added 95 runs in quick time with young Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who continued the momentum with a classy unbeaten 82 off 44 deliveries. Cameron Green then provided the finishing flourish with an unbeaten 52 as KKR crossed the 240 mark. Chasing 248, Gujarat Titans fought hard through skipper Shubman Gill, who struck a fluent 85 off 49 balls, while Jos Buttler chipped in with a brisk 57. Sai Sudharsan also returned after retiring hurt to score an unbeaten 53, but the target proved too steep. Sunil Narine starred with the ball for Kolkata, picking up two wickets, while Saurabh Dubey snapped one tightening the chase in the middle overs as GT finished on 218 for 4.
